This 12 foot smoking joint was made for the 40th anniversary of Cheech and Chong's cult classic movie "Up In Smoke". The giant spliff was made out of a 18" diameter sonotube. Once it was cut into shape it was wrapped with a paper drop cloth then slathered with a mixture of elmer's glue and white paint. A steel armature was made to hold the joint into position and dressed with cuttings from pepper trees. For the smoke effect a smoke machine was placed in the end of the joint. The prop was set up in the parking lot of the Roxy in Hollywood.
